I’m stuck with an old phone and I’d really like a functioning app store, seeing as some of the apps on the site are still compatible with kitkat
oh ok
kthxbye
…the marketplace doesn’t load
just does a “error getting index file” :v
@SkewedZeppelin why not link to Running on old Android versions | F-Droid - Free and Open Source Android App Repository where they get info on the certificate fix too?
the certificate fix guide seems outdated?
while F-Droid classic no longer complains about the index file, it is just now outright crashing when trying to refresh after some time
edit: looks like vanilla F-Droid works fine, not my favorite UI but it works i guess
How so? Links work fine
was thinking of the notices at the top of the article
by the way, normal f-droid seems to crash when i try to load repositories that aren’t just normal f-droid?
Ah, ignore them
Maybe @sorenstoutner can update them
Option called “Force old index format” is needed to be activated in Settings => Expert mode.
why? did you see debug logs?
