What's the last version of f-droid that works on kitkat?

I’m stuck with an old phone and I’d really like a functioning app store, seeing as some of the apps on the site are still compatible with kitkat

the certificate fix guide seems outdated?

while F-Droid classic no longer complains about the index file, it is just now outright crashing when trying to refresh after some time
edit: looks like vanilla F-Droid works fine, not my favorite UI but it works i guess

by the way, normal f-droid seems to crash when i try to load repositories that aren’t just normal f-droid?

Option called “Force old index format” is needed to be activated in Settings => Expert mode.
