  • Fennec fdroid (important d’avoir un navigateur à jour)
  • Qksms (superbe appli pour sms)
  • et/ou Silence (appli pour sms cryptés, un peu l’équivalent de Signal)
  • Newpipe (alternative à youtube)
  • Audio Recorder
  • Open Camera
  • Semitone et Tuner (pour la musique)
  • OsmAnd

et éventuellement Aurora store pour récupérer une appli sur le playstore, quoique l’on peut généralement récupérer le fichier apk sur le site de l’éditeur (cf. Signal)

I think Loyalty Card Keychain isn’t developped anymore, so there is a fork called Catima which is great :slight_smile:

What’s your point?
I think Orbot is meant for give Tor network to any app in the phone, but not for browsing with a normal browser, because even if you’re connecting through Tor the normal browser gives a different fingerprint than everyone else accesing Tor.
For browsing there’s Tor browser and nothing else.
And yes, using Orbot and Tor browser at the same time is redundant.

Oh? OsmAnd~ does not have proxy settings, and orbot displayed download/upload traffic does not show big increase when downloading new maps? Davx5 finds a way around full device vpn when synching calendar and contacts?

Edit: Satstat also when getting “AGPS” data or (rarely) downloading map?

SI jamais ça vous dit d’expliquer à quoi elles servent et ce qu’elles peuvent remplacer dans le playstore, ce sera peut etre plus facile pour les débutants comme moi du forum.

I think you misunderstood me.

I was just asking for an explanation of the applications that the members quote above.
In a few words, what are they for, and what is their equivalent application on an android smartphone using google play.
Because a beginner like me doesn’t have any of the above mentioned apps, so I don’t know what they are for, as I’ve always been on an android OS with google.

Example : I use newPipe which is an equivalent of youtube, but is a referrer without ads.
