@ArceusI I think you should start choosing to be kinder to people. These mods have enough to deal with without you making their lives harder. Your really lucky they have put up with you this long. I’ve had a scroll at your history here and it seems like you’ve definitelybeen more harmful than helpful.
Add something productive to the conversation or admit you just like to see your name on the screen.

Honestly, that’s why I said: Opinions differ too much. Unfortunately, when enough users exist, trolling becomes more evident, DeviantArt is a clear example, as the users there have wildly differing opinions, and unfortunately scuffles erupt constantly there, Discord is also one to suffer such problems due to its huge userbase.

Well, GrapheneOS partnered with Motorola recently, and a GrapheneOS Device family is expected to be launched in 2027.
I shall watch for it, but my hopes are low.
@ArceusI What is with your penchant for companies who facilitate war crimes or contribute to death and destruction? Motorola are naughty. If big corp makes something, you will more or less get an oppressive variant of what we have now. The hope is with smaller companies and collective initiatives to make alternatives. Can you imagine Motorola making F-Droid (shudder). I know you love your big corps, but really.
I know, it’s just, GrapheneOS isn’t as widespread as it’s supposed to be, and the partnership isn’t exclusive. So GrapheneOS can still partner up with other corporations if so needed. Because Google is seriously locking down Pixel, it only made sense for Motorola to partner with GrapheneOS to at least accomplish something.
@ArceusI This sort of reminds me of when Android first came out. It is Linux-based, or so I thought. I forgot which make of Android I had, but boy was I disappointed when I discovered you needed Microsoft Windows to update and access it. Android has changed since then, some for the better, others for far worse. Motorola will change the nature of Graphene OS and will enact something similar to Google Android. Motorola’s concerns are not people / users, but profit. Between making a quick dollar and protecting the user, you will see 100% which way they go. That’s why other companies / initiatives like Fairphone and Jolla need to step forward and offer real options.
Unfortunately for Motorola, GrapheneOS has a strict Privacy-centric policy, so Motorola won’t affect it at all. If GrapheneOS does somehow kick the bucket, a fork will be made to continue the prospect.
What you quickly learn, if you have enough lawyers, you can (literaly) lie, cheat, steal and murder and have The State sanction it. My faith in Motorola doing the right thing is about… zero. They already facilitate murder, so what’s what’s a little clause to them? The best the buyer can do is avoid.
Well, GrapheneOS could terminate the partnership if Motorola attempts any sort of funny business.
