With Mull Browser Instagram stories are not all visible

Hi, I’ve noticed that with Mull Browser my friends’ instagram stories don’t show up. or rather, they show up one in 10. With Fennec and other browsers, however, no problem. I’m sorry I have to give up Mull just because of this detail. I have done all the relevant tests by cleaning everything and closing all extensions. It is indeed a ‘defect’ of Mull. I know that talking about Meta associated with Mull may turn the noses up at many, but for people like me (and there are many of us) who are just looking for a little extra privacy, this is a problem. I wanted to at least get as far as uninstalling Meta apps from the phone and ‘protect’ myself a little with Ublock.

Does anyone know how to solve this?

Have you tried the workarounds? Broken - DivestOS Mobile
Maybe:

  • Mull has stripped referrers. This often breaks loading of images on websites with hotlink protection. Navigate to about:config and change network.http.referer.XOriginPolicy from 2 to 1 or 0, this is however a privacy risk.

I had already tried, I tried again now to be sure, but the problem is still there.

I specify, because it is not written down, that I am not in private mode. I have not changed any other basic Mull settings, and I have tried deactivating all addons.

I recommend just keeping another browser for those problem sites.

To much security can make jail for you, therefore I dropped Mull, which - even after some advice from developer - ocurred 25% slower than other Firefox based browsers.
I would recommend Iceraven, and NOT recommend Waterfox (dev doesn’t give a sh.t about us, users - no response, errors not fixed…)

Of course. Yet I regret having to use two browsers. It’s a pity because Mull was a bit slow, but it seems well made. I’m sorry I have to change it for something so ‘stupid’. I will perhaps try contacting the developer directly, or use other browsers.

It must be said that mull is the only open source browser, with strong fingerprint protection, and with forced https…

You should give up on instagram, you don’t need instagram to survive, while instagram needs you very much to survive. Mind this more often, please…

Honestly I use GNU Icecat and if something does not show correctly , it’s not my problem. Probably it is not worth looking at as they did not invest anything in making the website accessible or graceful degrading.

It is so shameful that you people keep asking devs features that enable you to use abusive services :roll_eyes:.

THEN JUST USE CHROME ALREADY.
It’s hilarious to think that you want your privacy to be protected while logging in to instagram or facebook… MYGGODD

p.s “‘protect’ myself a little” = “use a condom with holes”.

Sorry I missed to say that I never browse from the phone, unless it’s self hosted stuff.
From the phone it’s not worth.
