Why don't we have an operating system without pre-installed programs, without microG?

Hello everyone.

I was wondering why we still don’t have a pure operating system (cleaned from Google), without pre-installed programs, without MicroG (without Google)

I looked at F-droid and I think that there are absolutely all the programs so that the user can independently install and use the phone for everyday tasks.

I would be grateful to hear your opinion on this matter, preferably with examples.

Flash a GSI image without GAPPS then tell me if that’s clean enough for you.

You have nothing there except for AOSP apps like ‘files’, ‘clock’, A browser, I think it has a notes app but I’m not sure.

Both GrapheneOS and my DivestOS have very few pre-installed apps and neither of them come with any form of Play Services.

@Ammar64
a GSI still reuses the vendor and boot partitions which can still leave a lot of junk running such as Google Widevine DRM or Qualcomm IZat.

Thank you for your answers.

As for GrapheneOS, I do not consider this operating system for myself, since there is a very limited number of phones that support this operating system Frequently Asked Questions | GrapheneOS and the worst thing for me is that these phones are created by Google Pixel 9 - Wikipedia )) this is some kind of black humor!

If we talk about DivestOS, then this is one of the best or possibly the best options, but I am very put off by the fact that I am not a user of my phone, since I am not root. The risks are my responsibility as a user, just like it works in Gnu/Linux, you can work as root or create a user, the user assumes all the risks of breaking the system, there is no need to make a decision for him (my opinion)

LineageOS also doesn’t install Google Services or MicroG by default
