Why do you list Cryptomator?

As I see, it is paid and requires key.

So the main question is: why F-Droid doesn’t delist it or at least add anti-feature?

And second question: why not just patch it away on build server, since it is GPL?

There’s no antifeature needed.

It’s listed because the client is FLOSS.

Patch what exactly? The authentication is server side.

You confused it with cryptomator hub, which is server side. Lite version is only client-side

They both work.

Unfortunately I do not have a build server to build something from scratch to test for ya.

But you are confusing Cryptomator (where is NO server check) with Cryptomator Hub, which tied to server.

So what? Both are open source. Plus GPL3 allows everyone to modify and redistribute.

Personally, i am not it’s user. See first post.

But if I would be user, I always donate (to F-Droid too, btw).

Not everyone can afford fixed payment. Not everyone can even afford it. For example try to do that from iran. Or gaza. Or syria.

So if it is free (as freedom) we can add any changes to make it free (as price) too.

You can fork and patch it and make it free. But we won’t do this. This is not good to upstream devs nor F-Droid.
