Do what? Use other repos? All clients do…
Or you mean bypass targetsdk limitations on Android 14 and later?

No, it has a function to install apps with low targetSDKs on Android 14+ (using root permission).
Thanks, works flawlessly
A Bluetooth Proxy that take over all connected headset and Mediacontrolls and allow tonpreset rules for autostart audio and speaker volume
Current problem is, that antennapod do not start as main player if i connect blutooth devices with mediacontrol.
I need to setup differend loudnes depending on device.
A similar featur wit systemprofile not work if devices crossing each other.
A2DP Volume (Manage Bluetooth functions)
A2DP Volume | F-Droid - Free and Open Source Android App Repository maybe?
I certainly spend too long on my phone so would appreciate an eye care app that reminds me to take breaks, blink, stare into the distance etc. Plenty of great features could be added and would be great for my, and our, health.
Seems somehow not reliable working. And I miss a possibility to start a specific app on Bletooth connection.
It seems Android 14 removed persistent notifications, they can all be dismissed now. Is there a (root) app that returns the ability for apps to block user from swiping notifications away?
I use p!n which interprets this forced swiping as a 30min snooze so this is a nuisance
Edit: Another thing, persistent notifications used to be able to keep apps running in background. I’ve heard this doesn’t work anymore on Android 14, and it seems true, apps with permanent notifications like Firefox Klar now do get killed overnight. Any way to remove this “feature” too?
I get that this is all a big security and anti-spam “feature” but since I only use F-Droid apps it’s a “bug” for me
They still do, better look at https://dontkillmyapp.com too
A NewPipe Like app for Rumble.com. One were you can subscribe to channels without making an account.
This could be a feature added to NewPipe if a NewPipe developer sees this.
Powerpoint viewer app that is not sluggish (PPTX, PPT, and PPSX formats).
Collabora actually runs their Online Office in the app, its speed suffers, but… it works the best so far.
Did you try both
LibreOffice & OpenOffice document reader | ODF | F-Droid - Free and Open Source Android App Repository and
LibreOffice Viewer | F-Droid - Free and Open Source Android App Repository yet?
I used Collabora Office Android app when I was looking for FOSS apps that open ppt formats, are these any different?
EDIT: tested LibreOffice Viewer, have some bugs when switching from portrait to landscape and vice versa. It also show a weird buffering when navigating forward and backward.
These are native apps, then again they appear less polished. Do try, for viewing they might be faster (editing is none to experimental)
LibreOffice & OpenOffice document reader, ppt doesn’t even display, opening pdf is slow as hell. On play store they have ads lol.

Collabora Office seems the best, hopefully they focus on improving their Android app.
you use Librera for PDFs anyway…
who cares?
I found that later. How come such a great app is not in the fdroid store? The maintainers of NewPipe have said they don’t haven’t any intention of updating their app with the update so BraveNewPipe had to be created. I was surprised such a well made app is missing from the app store.
In the FOSS ecosystem, I feel there’s still a gap in certain types of apps, especially in the areas of high-quality video editing and professional design tools. While there are some good open-source options like Shotcut and GIMP, they still don’t quite match up to the capabilities of industry-standard software. I’d love to see more fully-featured alternatives for advanced tasks like 3D modeling and motion graphics. Another area where I feel improvement is needed is in project management apps that combine features from tools like Asana or Trello but with more privacy-focused and open-source architecture.
Not for mobile phones but for the desktop there is Blender.
(e.g. on youtube you’ll find videos/tutorials with 6, 7 even 8 digit views)
