There are many forked versions on F-Droid with same name, graphics.
yep. the narayana.im team committed the heinous crime of improving on a stagnant app with a dev who refused merges, so they forked and moved on. although that hurt his feelings too much, so they got blacklisted
If the Conversations official app has Non-Free Assets then please add the relevant Anti-Feature for it.

Fyi, if anyone cares, I admited my mistake of being too happy to merge an app that’s reproducible from a dev that was fast to fix issues at merge time, and overlook the name.
That being said, they also were fast to say they’re gonna fix it… months ago… then silence, no new version, no commits, no release, no name change.
It’s not a matter of oppressing this fork, it’s a matter of not being an a**hole when it comes to the work of upstream that you build upon your best-est app.

daniel isnt maintaining conversations. they took up the torch, perfectly reasonable. daniel is still yet to merge or introduce the basic features of con classic. removing an app just because it offended one of your friends is disgraceful conduct
forking is well within the rights and spirt of daniels licensing and the foss ecosystem as a whole

- Metro vs Retro music screenshots are exactly same
and many more…The graphics are usually licensed under the same as the app so the foss-forks can use it without any problems. Though it would be nice to have unique graphics and app descriptions. If they’re non-free or different license then they should clearly mention e.g. SD Maid 2/SE developer mentioned which then requires AF on F-Droid.
So you are trolling when you say you don’t understand that the issue is not the forking?

Yes I noticed it but the license allows. If you can’t fork, make changes, publish at your freedom then what’s the point of having FOSS license. Just to have good faith in public?
Better add your own sub-clause/license to original license similar to Shizuku or make it source available or proprietary.
Daniel was not aware of the fork, what triggered him to ask the devs to change the name was the fact that users came to the Conversations support channel to ask about the app.
So, if you fork an app, you want people to ask upstream? To think that upstream wrote it? Or you want to make sure that they come to you?
What makes your fork unique then? Why did you bother forking if you don’t bother to name it properly?

Move this whataboutism to a separate thread or open gitlab issues asking for app takedowns, as you see fit.

im also in that channel and the only mentions of it were positive. things like “calling never worked for me on conversations but did on the more updated classic one”. you and daniel are jealous, nothing wrong with that either btw kter. im not attacking you, just be more open in future 
what makes the fork unique is that its still getting meaningful feature updates. daniels version isnt, lol
