Weblate issue in F-Droid metadata

#1

Hi, the new metadata file on Weblate is somewhat borked (at least for Icelandic); yesterday it was fine with 15 new strings to translate. This morning (GMT) I got announcements that there were new strings: now there are many empty strings and most of the already translated strings have emptied the original English field. See https://hosted.weblate.org/projects/f-droid/f-droid-metadata/is/

Please look into this.

BTW: Yesterday in another project (separate Weblate instance at https://weblate.securedrop.org/projects/securedrop/) there were problems with similar symptoms in some languages due to an upgrade, perhaps it’s related?

@sveinki
That was my fault. The triggered error has however been corrected in the Weblate codebase, so it shouldn’t happen again.

The SecureDrop WL instance is at-least back up and running, don’t know what the issue was.

Well, it’s not (yet) corrected: there are only 8 strings visible of the
17 announced in the stats, some are still empty, and I had already
translated string #4.

If it is any consolation, it deleted the strings I had translated too.

This feature is exciting but still very new! So we ask of the translators to have some patience while we find all the bugs and get it working smoothly. Testing and feedback are greatly appreciated!
