VPN Hotspot updated to upstream

Hi,

I have brought this up to the latest upstream commit - zinga/VPNHotspot - Codeberg.org

But, gitlab wont let me create a new account without phone number and credit card info. And I have lost access to an old account that I had before.

Please give it a new appid as what GitHub - nekohasekai/VPNHotspot: Share your VPN connection over hotspot or repeater! (root required) does.

And please add tags.

It does have an appid suffix in the “freedom” flavor. The resulting package would be be.mygod.vpnhotspot.foss

It’s already used in VPNHotspot/mobile/build.gradle.kts at master · nekohasekai/VPNHotspot · GitHub. You need to choose another one.

Ah! I see. Okay I will change it and add tag

It’s done. Anything else required from my end?

open an issue: Issues · F-Droid / Requests For Packaging · GitLab

or, if you already have the recipe ready (based on https://gitlab.com/fdroid/fdroiddata/-/blob/master/metadata/be.mygod.vpnhotspot.foss.yml ?) maybe open a MR directly: F-Droid / Data · GitLab

As I mentioned earlier, Gitlab is not letting me create an account without giving them a phone number and credit card info

OK,., we’ll create a recipe ourselves then… soon :+1:

wanna try reproducible builds? Inclusion How-To | F-Droid - Free and Open Source Android App Repository

VPNHotspot/mobile/build.gradle.kts at master - zinga/VPNHotspot - Codeberg.org This also needs to be removed.

Won’t mind complying with it, but would it serve any useful purpose considering I am not the original dev of the app?

you’ve become a dev today

I’ve removed it and pushed the tag again

@linsui I have also fixed this module to work with Android 15+ and added fastlane metadata. In case you folks wont mind adding it as well zinga/AnyWebView - Codeberg.org

GitHub - Magisk-Modules-Alt-Repo/open_webview: A magisk module created to replace system webview didn’t work for you?

I did try that one a long while back, when it still used to require manual download. I remember I ran into some kind of trouble and gave up on it.

Also, I believe currently the module needs to be flashed again every time there is a new update for the webview?

AnyWebView just felt a lot more convenient. Install and forget. After that the webview can be updated from f-droid along with other apps (although Mulch is now gone :frowning: )

I switched to A15 recently and it broke. So I decided to look at the code and see if I could fix it

There is a typo in the appid.
