what’s the use case?

  1. How many apps affects choice criteria (how picky I can get).
  2. A small number in brackets tells me which filters are the most effective in helping me choose. To use a recent example, looking for a firewall (say 18 apps) and filtering those with the keyword “VPN” (say 17 apps) gives useful information on the techniques used and any unique apps.
  3. Less important
  4. A dev with 30 apps (not naming names) has my AI senses tingling.

In general it is nice to know.
