Unstoppable Wallet - was code patched?

I brought up the issue that this app started calling home (see Unstoppable Wallet silently added data collection and sending, F-droid already offers automatic update - #3 by linsui) and @linsui said they will patch the code.

This app never provided an opt-out option like the authors promised, and I see that F-Droid lists all latest versions after they introduced this issue.

I wanted to ask - are the versions on F-droid patched like @linsui was saying to remove the calling home code, or are they the vanilla code from the app authors?

… at least they made it easy to bypass … which also makes one wonder why not add an opt-out setting in the app.

Actually they did finally add an opt-out setting (it’s rather hidden in settings > about > privacy > data collection).

I haven’t checked if it disables all data collection though.
