You need to enable it in the setting as noted in the description.

What’s program panel? The launcher?
yes on the launcher and when the ALT key slides up it changes the keyboard to another keyboard like gboard or openboard

Dunno if an icon in launcher it’s a must or not, iirc Google wanted that, but here we don’t enforce this, but if it has or not it does not matter. You can always configure it in Settings.
