If you close the app and clear the cache does the issue come back?

Okay it really seems to be an issue with the German translation. If I set my device to German it doesn’t look quite that bad, but still bad:

Also for me it reads “Einstellungen”, not “Einst…ngen”.

Same here. Fairphone 2, with 1080 × 1920 display. I’ll check on a FP1 too…

Yea, I have faced it too. Usually on non-English ones, or if the system language and F-Droid post language are different…
