Wie ist denn so die Meinung zu @hans Wunsch nach Lokalisierung des “Repomaker”, der zumindest den “Maker” gerne in Landessprache sehen wollte? (Sein Einwand auf Weblate ist zwar, nachdem Repomaker aus der Navigationsleiste von [https://f-droid.org] in die Dokumentation umgezogen ist, wieder verschwunden, war aber erst vor wenigen Tagen dort zu lesen.)

Ich finde nicht, ich hätte ihn quasi als Markenname stehenlassen.
Falls dann doch, wie könnte er denn heißen?

Meiner Meinung nach werden im deutschsprachigen Raum so viele englische Anglizismen benutzt, da ist der Name Repomaker OK und sollte als Markenname stehen bleiben.

this discussion:
“repo” is short for “repository”, which basically means “the place where
a collection of things is stored”. In this case, those things are apps
and media files. We’re stuck with the word “repo” in English, since its
been used for 6+ years. But in your language, you are free to choose a
better term. In English, we’ve discussed “collection”, “list”, “feed”,
etc. Whatever word is used, it should also be used throughout the whole
project.
Actually I didn’t think of your description of “repo(sitory)” but of this comment:
“Repomaker” is made up of “repo” and “maker”. It makes “repos”. “Repo” is the same word like “git repo”. It comes from “repository”, but has become its own word for developers. If there is a short word in your language that means “repository” or “collection” that could be a good choice. It might also make sense to just use the word “repo”, then translate only the “maker” part. In my opinion, the English “Repomaker” should not be directly copied.<<
