Trying to get the most privacy out my smartphone!
I installed TrackerControl from F-droid and it works tremendously! I can see the log of blocked trackers which is… quite awesome!
Problem: I can not use it along ANY VPN service. When I enable VPN - the Tracker Control disables, when I enable Tracker Control - VPN disables.
I know that Tracker Control uses VPN to filter the data in and out, so maybe using VPN along with it isnt necessary?
Help appreciated
It’s a limitation of Android, I think you can’t do anything without root.
I rooted my Android. How can I solve it?
With Magisk I guess, and hope.
Use Adaway with root so you can block tracking through the hosts file, then you can use a VPN.
Probably you want to add new filters in Adaway.
App Manager can block tracker activity inside the apps, but it can break them too.
