Indépendamment ce ce qu’on peut penser de l’utilité ou de la légitimité de l’outil “tous-anti-covid” (et précédemment de “Stop-Covid”, quelqu’un.e peut-il.elle me dire pourquoi ces applications ne sont pas mises à disposition sur F-Droid, mais seulement sur ap-St et gg-pl (ce qui est à mon sens inconcevable s’agissant d’applications de santé publique développées sous l’égide de l’Etat) ?
F-Droid a-t-il refusé cette mise à disposition au regard des caractéristiques de ces applications (pas assez open source ?) ? F-Droid a-il demandé au Ministère de la santé (ou au Secrétariat d’Etat au numérique) de pouvoir mettre “tous-anti-covid” à disposition ?
Bref, que pouvez-vous nous dire à ce sujet ?

F-Droid only builds and hosts apps that are fully open-source, this mean both app code and app dependencies.
Now, if the app depends on Google Exposure API thing and that’s a lib, it might be open source (is it?) but iirc that depends on Google Services…and that’s not open source, right?

Je nes suis pas trop appli à télécharger, faut aller sur des stores x, y ou z (donc savoir/pouvoir) !
Probablement F-Droid a ses raisons et que, peut-être, il faut laissser du temps au temps !
Même s’il y a urgence !
Faudrait-il toujours laisser le Bluetouth activé…le Wifi…
Est-ce que finalement ça ne va pas faire comme le DMP qui n’est que rarement (très) consulté
par les pros habilités ?
Quid de la capacité même du terminal , d’une certaine confidentialité ???
Si jamais cette appli devient utile voir indispensable et fonctionelle partout dans ce monde
on pourrait aussi envisager d’avertir en cas de “contact” avec d’autres bestiolles microscopiques
et pourquoi pas demander aux F.A.I de FOURNIR l’instrument had-oc, à leur frais…Les pauvres !!

microG has an Exposure API thing inside, but I’m not sure if that can be packaged separately and used as a lib.

FWIW, TousAntiCovid doesn’t seem to rely on Google’s exposure API, GMS or any proprietary library. The only proprietary blobs included are the Marianne fonts which can easily be stripped out. I made an initial MR here to include TousAntiCovid in F-Droid: New app: TousAntiCovid (!7817) · Merge requests · F-Droid / Data · GitLab . I contacted the application authors to get their explicit approval though, not 100% sure they’ll accept. If they don’t, we may need to rebrand (or not provided that the license allows redistributions anyways).
I thought the app would need some API key that would prevent custom builds from using the official server.

An API key for the captcha is committed in cleartext in their repo: stopcovid/build.gradle · 2964dcee47472511e8d64801582579e514bbf0f3 · TousAntiCovid sources / TousAntiCovid Android · GitLab . I was able to sign up using this key so I think it’s their production key. Let’s hope they won’t change it 
(but since it would probably break existing installs, I guess it’s unlikely).

A complementary suggestion : public digital tools, particularly in health domain, should in my opinion be systematically developed by ensuring independence in every way regarding to eventual private contributors (in particular the GAFAM’s), and be systematically available for download on public platforms (including official websites of the concerned ministries) … and on F-Droïd!
Une suggestion complémentaire : les outils numériques publics, en particulier de santé, devraient à mon avis être systématiquement développés en veillant au respect de l’indépendance à tous points de vue vis à vis des éventuels contributeurs privés (en particulier des GAFAM), et être systématiquement disponible au téléchargement sur des plateformes publiques (notamment sites officiels des ministères concernés) … et sur F-Droïd !
