The F-Droid website does not support IPv6

According to the IPv6 Test, f-droid.org does not support IPv6.
You should make your web server and DNS server IPv6 compatible so that you can connect from IPv6-only networks.

I agree. See admin issue 7

Negative. I think its awesome that IPv6 is not working. It should be disabled across the entire internet for its uses against privacy. You must be microsoft or facebook employees for suggesting otherwise.

Why have you let the issue go on for four long years?

What if IPv6 was made specifically for surveillance? :grinning:

Explain to me how this benefits the conversation?

If you don’t like IPv6, just disable it on your own computer or router.
This is not a reason for F-Droid not to support it.
There is a shortage of IP addresses in Africa.
You need to stop being so Europe and USA-centric.

You this you that. Im not your enemy. Ipv6 is. Work towards solving the problem with the standard by addressing the privacy problem. Factories dont stop producing cars with safety equipment because they run out. The internet belongs to the world, and the world deserves privacy.

The mirror for the whole site on cloudflare, https://fdroidgoes.live/, or soon https://cloudflare.f-droid.org, supports IPV6.

False. IPv6 has a feature called “privacy addresses” which enables random addresses. Also, it’s a privacy concern if people have no access to F-droid.
