Sound widget for phone

Good afternoon:

I was looking for a widget to install on my wife’s device. To be able to set the phone to vibrate, silent, and sound.

I don’t know if there is an app or widget to do this? Thank you very much for your time and help.

Best regards

If you’re OK with a toggle in the quick settings, you might try

Good evening @m999

Thank you for your help and time.

I’ll pass the apps on to my wife. She can decide. It’s something she wanted after a friend showed her an app she had on her phone. She said it put a widget on the desktop or something like that.

If you’ll allow me, I’d like to take advantage of this topic that I’ve already opened to ask about a secure and private messaging app. For example, one that uses email or something similar. People often tell her to use Signal, but she doesn’t want to give her number to certain people. However, if she uses a messaging app and the other person doesn’t use the same one or uses email, it wouldn’t be very useful, in my opinion.

Best regards

Delta Chat and fork Arcane use email, but everyone must use the clients. Also they pivot(ed )out of email to their own gutted-email servers…

Signal has got user names for some time now. You don’t have to give your number to your contact.

Good afternoon:

First of all, I apologize for responding so late. But if only there were more hours in the day…

@Licaon_Kter, thank you very much for your response and help. What you’re telling me is what I feared and had already mentioned. The truth is that she is increasingly fed up and tired of these apps. But, for example, they tell you to use WhatsApp even at work :frowning:

@m999, how does what you’re telling me work? Could I delete WhatsApp and receive it on Signal?

Sorry for having so many questions. But I don’t use any messaging apps or social media. And I don’t know what’s best to tell her

Hugs and a million thanks for your help.

Signal and WhatsApp are not compatible.

It simply means that you can set up a username in Signal with a syntax like ‘johndoe.67’ and give it to the person you want to chat with, instead of your mobile phone number.

Good afternoon, @m999.

First, I apologize for responding so late. Several family members fell ill, and I hardly had any time.

I will tell him to use Signal as you suggest. The pity is that almost everyone uses WhatsApp.

Best regards.
