since last week I have a new tablet, a Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e WiFi. It runs iodé Andoid 14 and so far, it works like charm…
Only one thing bothers me, the sound could definetely be improved. When I’m doing my language learning lessons on “Duolingo”, everything sounds muffled, too much bass. There is “Dolby Atmos” on board with several profiles, but none if them works good here.
So, I wonder if there’s an good “Equalizer” app that could be of any help? On F-droid I found only a music player app with an integrated equalizer. Not usable in my case…
Afaik, from 3 of my Samsung phones, Samsung has inbuilt equalizer apps. You can launch them via some app intent manager and be able to use it. However, it may ask you to have headphones connected before it allows you to change settings (I9082 used to ask me before I could change it).
Sorry. I should have mentioned.
Settings > Apps > 3 dots > Show System Apps
Search for sound or equalizer.
FYI: not all samsung phone has this available, as the OS for each one has differences.
No equalizer available, only an app(?) called “sound quality and effects” but you can’t do anything with it, it’s not even shown outside the list of system apps.
Sorry for the late reply. Yes, as I said earlier, not all Samsung OS have them. Unless rooted, you may not be able to use any 3rd party app, or different OS, which indeed is unfortunate. I had started building my own OS for my phone, modding it per my need. I did untik my phone died permanently.
