Some issues with Shelter: shows uninstalled apps? Black screen in landscape mode

Hey, as Shelters dev mailing list is very sleepy I want to ask here: is anyone familiar with Shelter / Work profile configurations here?

I have dropped on something really weird.
When setting Shelter to show all apps in shelter it shows apps that are supposed to be uninstalled or disabled.
The list is different of that what system app manager shows.
I’ve got Realme device. It’s app manager separates normal apps from work profile apps, of course marks them with suitcase icons. It let’s you disable or uninstall some apps, then it doesn’t show them, but Shelter does.
Why? What’s going on?

Another issue is when the screen is turned to landscape mode the Shelter content goes black. Anyone knows solution?

I’ve got latest Shelter 1.9.1 from F-droid. Tried to update from PetersCxy repo but signatures mismatch and I don’t want to uninstall F-droids not to lose all configuration I already have.

Try this: Activity Launcher | F-Droid - Free and Open Source Android App Repository . If an app is not uninstalled, you should be able to launch it.

If the screen becomes black, it means the UI thread is busy (possibly loading or redrawing something, in programmers’ terms), and the solution (workaround) would be not rotating it to the landscape mode (to avoid redrawing or whatever logic that blocks the UI thread).

I’ve tried horizontal mode just because Shelter displayed some notification in a toast, that I couldn’t fully read - text was to long. I’ve tried to run some system apps from inside Shelter but couldn’t, which ended with that unreadable notification. I couldn’t read that from history or 3rd party app as work profile can’t send notifications…

Still is a mystery for me why Shelter displays system apps (like Android Auto or Chrome) that I know I’ve uninstalled before. I’ve used two apps for that: Canta and AppManager.

Activity launcher does not see apps that are displayed by Shelter. Why every are even displayed?

Are those apps on read only system partition?

you’ve “disabled” them from all profiles?

bingo…

Is it a bug or a feature???
