Simple Mobile Tools / Contacts tries to download a "Dialer" app not from F-Droid

I recently updated Contacts from Simple Mobile Tools to “v6.12.6 Pro” using F-Droid. It asked me to download another app, “Dialer”, from a link - not from F-Droid. The message claimed it needed this to dial contacts. It doesn’t; I didn’t download it and dialing still works.

So I’m suspicious that Simple Mobile Tools is trying to bypass F-Droid’s checking. Can someone take a look at the code? Thanks.
