Someone in the SecuChart chat room just pointed me at a GritHub repo that supposedly enables a reproducible build of Signal. Does this move us any closer to getting the official Signal app into the main F-Droid repo?

In theory it’s FLOSS, in practice it has Google proprietary libs inside.
So, no, nothing changed, afaik, still unhostable.
If you mean that if Moxie (not part of Signal anymore) would have accepted F-Droid to build&host a FLOSS reproducible Signal, yeah I guess, maybe, whoknows.
