Since there is no in-built firewall to block an app from accessing the internet, should I only use cellular data?

why ios, is Android complicated

QOL features and iOS takes a balanced approach towards privacy, security and usability, also your reply reeks of negative sarcasm

Like Apple always knowing where your device is and which other devices are around you.

Like Apple keeping all your files and messages unencrypted on their servers.

Like, yeah…

What would you recommend when not iOS?

Latest Pixel + GOS probably. Using only FOSS apps. Federated messaging app. Syncthing for backup. Netguard/Rethink firewall. Tor Browser. Profiles for apps. Etc

That’s arguably better than iOS in privacy and security, my threat model involves me using devices which do not attract unwanted attention.

How does a random PIxel attract anything?

Not the Pixel hardware but the GOS software, also plausible deniability

Bruh, if somebody verifies your version of Android you have other bigger problems we can’t solve with software…

Yes, that’s why iOS is preferred for my threat model
