Recommend irc app

i am looking for a irc client on fdroid or directly available on github. i did check on fdroid various messaging or irc clients, however i am undecided.

the app must have the following features for irc:

(1) able to connect irc.
(2) even if close or quit the app, i must stay connected to the irc server and channel.
(3) if i am disconnected in conversation ( this frequently happens due to my inconsistent connection), when i am again connected, it must shows messages while i was disconnected.
(4) ability to save or show irc messages when i again open app.

well, this basically rules out any client-only solution. If you
require to be only all the time, you have to have a client that
is connected all the time – either on your device or on a remote
server acting like a proxy. Depending on what your prefer, there
are several options. I myself use riot along with matrix’s irc
bridging. It works rather good as long as the bridge connects
to your preferred irc network.

thanks krt, i have downloaded and started using the app.

Just be aware that if you follow many channels or any very active ones, it can possibly drain your battery on mobile.

Here I use Riot on mobile to follow the channels I care most about, and Atomic with an IRC bouncer to keep an eye on the rest.
