Dear sir/madame,
yesterday I found this website www.qwant.com and I think it can be a good alternative to google. I was wondering why their app (open source) are not on fdroid, does it depend on their developers? Thanks

This does look very much like Firefox/Fennec with different default search engine and maybe some additional extensions or different setted flags. I would recommend to go for F-Droid mainline repos Fennec or IceCatMobile browser and maybe change the default search engine to your preferences/qwant.
Qwant is a search engine like Duck Duck Go, StartPage…
You have to create an Android app to bring it in F-Droid.
