WHO WE ARE
The Institute for Technology and Journalism (TUJ e.V.) is a non-profit organisation located in Berlin. We run the platform www.mobilsicher.de, providing consumer information on security and privacy of smartphones. Last year, we launched the „App-Checker“, our own open source testing system that monitors and informs the public about tracking activities in Android apps.
Funding for our projects is provided by the Federal Ministry of Justice and Consumer Protection (BMJV) as well as the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).
