Problem when installing updates

Hallo,

seit einigen Tagen kann ich in F-Droid unter Android 10 die Apps

  • IronFox
  • OsmAnd
  • Linux Command Library
  • Tor Browser for Android

nicht mehr updaten. Die Updates werden heruntergeladen und wenn ich auf “Installieren” klicke, startet die Installation, wird dann aber mit der Meldung “Installation fehlgeschlagen” abgebrochen.

Weitere Infos gibt es nicht.

Hat jemand eine Vermutung, was der Hintergrund für diese eigenartigen Abbrüche sein kann? Es gibt nämlich auch Updates, die funktionieren ohne Probleme.

For several days now, I have been unable to update the following apps in F-Droid on Android 10:

  • IronFox
  • OsmAnd
  • Linux Command Library
  • Tor Browser for Android

The updates are downloaded, and when I click on ‘Install’, the installation starts but is then cancelled with the message ‘Installation failed’. No further information is provided.

Does anyone have any idea what might be causing these strange interruptions? Some updates work without any problems.

That usually happens when the APK is for another architecture. I’m just guessing here but maybe the F-Droid app is somehow pulling the wrong APKs or the devs packaged them wrong.

How much free space to you have in System?

That was the problem… After tidying up my system a bit, I received a success message during the update. Thank you!

I had this issue on a device recently, did the error message not say “not enough space” on so for you? Using latest Client 1.23.1?
