  • i have forked fdroidata[ 1 ] to
    make few minor metadata changes
  • as soon as fork is created, it
    shows message “Pipeline failing?
    To keep GitLab spam and abuse
    free we ask that you verify
    your identity.”
  • but to verify account, i need credit card
  • is it compulsory to validate?
  • i have made first commit[ 2 ]
  • before making changing, please clarify

You have to verify to run the pipeline. But you can open the MR without the pipeline.
