OSMAnd not uninstallable - system app on Volla-Phone with VollaOS

Hello friends,
I can’t uninstall OsmAnd, which I installed with F-Droid. I was able to remove the uploaded maps, but the app is still there. Neither via settings nor via the context menu, which doesn’t even appear.
Do you have any tips for me?
Many thanks and regards,
huedroid

can you detail what you want to do exactly?

It does not have any maps when installed, you need to download them locally or it uses the Internet to pull the map tiles that you see.

Thank you for answering.

I tried to “wipe off” the OsmAnd-Navigation-App.
But like other Apps it cannot be removed the standard way:
there is no icon in the App-Overview to hold on and reach the “Remove App”-Option.
So I tried to remove all maps first successfully.
But the App itself is already untouchable.
What should I do?

My mobile ist a Volla-Phone with VollaOS (Andr. 12) on it.

Android Settings - Apps - Osmand - Uninstall? Attach some pics too

Okay, I will upload 3 pics:

  • the settings-overview (OsmAnd is shown here)
  • the options of organic map above (deinstallable)
  • the options of OsmAnd (just deactivisable)

sorry for the not-english language

Volla OS comes with osmand as navigator/map app and seems to be working fine and pretty fast

so that is normal, as system apps can’t be uninstalled, only deactivated

so not a bug

Thank you, Licaon_Kter, … that’s the reason!
OsmAnd works fine, but the navigation itself needs a lot of time to calculate the routes and there are some security issues,
so I tried the organic…

calculation speed depends on you device speed, organic maps might be faster, but less flexible

location lock depends on your device GPS too, nothing the app can do about that

which security issues exactly?

I found at the bottom:

Anti-Features:

This may not really be serious, who knows.

But organic is lightweight and - I my eyes - pretty fast.
Thank you for your advice!

none of those are “security issues” in any way
