I have a detailed concept for a privacy-first, offline video player that acts like TikTok/Reels, but only for your local files (e.g., educational or motivational clips).

Core Features needed:

1. Vertical swipe to switch clips.

2. Random Clip Mode (30s/60s snippets from random video parts).

3. Pinch-to-zoom/crop for vertical viewing on landscape videos.

4. “Play Full Video” link.

Looking for FOSS Android developers interested in Kotlin/Compose to take the idea and run with it! No tracking, no network permissions needed.

i like the idea, and if there is a “dating” app for local photos why couldnt we have something like this as well?
