Not possible to publish app

I am trying to get my app into the F-Droid store and following these instructions: Publish an Open Source app on Fdroid – Pocket Science Lab

However, this does not work because when I run fdroid readmeta, I only get back error messages from existing apps.

Can anyone help me with this?

I thought that this step is not necessary.

But when I execute the next step fdroid import -- url URL --subdir app I also get the following error: "CRITICAL: Unrecognised app fiel ‘OpenCollective’ in ‘metadata/app.fedilab.lite.yml’

Ok I fixed it, the fdroidserver version wasn’t the newest…
