Maps (axet) - reinstall fails - broken download worldmap ...?

Hi Folks,

while reconfiguring my Phone I liked to reinstall maps.
But the download of the initial worldmap fails.
Am I alone with this problem?

Hi surferjoe!

Thank you for that hint. The device isn’t rooted yet on several reasons. Therefore I’m not able to take it that way.
There’s still a discussion about the fail of downloading the initial maps and files needed on a fresh setup at Download of offline maps keeps failing (#107) · Issues · axet / omim · GitLab.
The workaround is likely to install version 9.0.8.2 and then upgrading.
Is it possible to get that version from f-droid (didn’t find it)?

You don’t need root to put that file there.

Enable the Archive repo, update the repo index, open the app detail…versions? Disable the Archive repo after you fix it

With version 9.1.x I’ll get the same error after copying the needed files to the directory …

Hmm. F-Droid-Archive enabled on the app doesn’t show the needed version 9.0.x … (Only 9.1x-versions are offered)
