author now works for Google = no more magisk hide.
Is there another root-hiding app in F-Droid? Otherwise to me it’ll be a disaster

No more official one… I’d guess the community will raise to the task as it did in the past, see Xposed, Riru, SuperSu etc

You can always go without root! 
Makes pretty good sense to do this from his perspective.
Kinda unfortunate for all the people that use magisk hide tho.
