Link to apk missing for several apps

Hi,

several apk files are missing in the repository. What’s going on ?

Some examples:

https://f-droid.org/repo/priv.twoerner.brightnesswidget_7.apk
I get “Not Found” for that linked apk.

Thanks

I think they have been archived.

Check the links in pink.

Old signing.

AntiFeature:DisabledAlgorithm
(Redirected from Antifeature:DisabledAlgorithm)

"This APK was signed using a signature algorithm that was disabled because it is broken.

Since April 2017, APK signatures that use MD5 are no longer considered valid, jarsigner and apksigner will return an error when verifying."

Thanks for the response.

As far as I understand the APK file needs to be rebuild with another checksum algorithm.

I thought the APK files are build by F-Droid from the source code.

So why doesn’t F-Droid rebuild the APK files ?

Possible reasons: unmaintained apps, milestones in Fdroid project, lot of
stuff to do, members are overbooked…

@Hansi @hotlittlewhitedog Need your help here.

There are a lot of pdf readers in the repo right now.
io.github.droidapps.pdfreader hasn’t been updated since 2014 and apparently has problems on android 4.4+ devices. (there is a fix in the repo but no release)

Does it really make sense to rebuild this or are people better served with one of the alternative pdf viewers which is still maintained?

Edit: Same question to ask for the other apps, but I haven’t looked at those yet.

If the tools are archived, people will understand they are not supported and can find an alternative.
