LANShield GitLab Access

Anyone use this?

LANShield (Protect your LAN by managing app access to your local network.)

Sounds useful but on four devices it crashes as soon as I try to enable the VPN service.
Okay, so I have a bug report and crash dump to submit but when I go to their Git to see if there were any existing issues there are none to see.
Seems one has to register / sign-in but if I read correctly that is only possible by faculty and staff members or guests thereof. What the heck!?

Went to the Activities section and see one change since last release that may or may not have anything to do with the crashes.

exclude ‘org.distrinet.portscanner’ from vpn interface (739d2a40) · Commits · DistriNet / Research / NetSec / LANShield · GitLab

Can anyone else confirm that the Issues section is not accessible. Maybe I just missed something. Not sure. Maybe there just aren’t any yet.

Netguard can block LAN access, and I guess the other firewalls too.

Oh, yes, I have and know of such tools for blocking.
I was interested in the monitoring aspect just to see which apps may be accessing the LAN and whatnot. Just trying something new.

Thanks for the link. :+1:
