Hello everyone,
I’m trying to spoof my GPS location, but I’ve run into a wall and could use some advice.
I’ve already tried the standard Magisk module setup (LSPosed, Hide Mock Location, etc.), but it didn’t fully work. The target app still manages to get my real location as soon as I connect to the internet.
Here’s what I’ve attempted so far:
-
Using a VPN to match my IP address to the spoofed location.
-
Using XPrivacyLua to block the app from accessing network location data (like
getCellLocation).
Despite all this, my real location still leaks through, likely via network location services.
I’m now considering a more drastic approach: flashing a custom ROM. I’m thinking about LineageOS + microG.
My main questions are:
-
Does LineageOS + microG have a built-in feature to reliably spoof location that can’t be detected by apps?
-
If so, does it effectively prevent the network location “leak” проблема?
-
Are there any other custom ROMs or methods you would recommend for this specific problem?
Thank you all in advance for your help. I would be very grateful for any answers!
