I put together a keyboard that I I’m really proud of. I’m still waiting for it to be published to fdroid. I can’t wait to hear all of your feedback.especially if you’re a turmux user. hackers keyboard was an inspiration. so that was my starting point. not code-wise, but spirit. you can have any number of user definable layouts. including custom keys, keycaps, as well as having functionality for launching a speech to text, clipboard operations, swapping to other layouts … pretty much everything built into the actual engine. everything definable any number of user editable/definable layouts. not to mention what I call accessory layouts. these are only showing when the keyboard is in docked or split mode. these have things like macro keys, multimedia keys, navigation keys, even launchers. I have releases available in my GitHub if you want to try it before fDroid publishes it.
it may seem like bloat, but it’s actually just carefully designed.everything runs off of those layout files.
