I recently received a DM from someone who I had blocked on another platform. That in itself isn’t necessarily a forum issue, but what prompted this report is what happened next.

I got an email about it and this useful notification,

And when I went looking for where the inbox even was, I couldn’t find it anywhere in the UI. No link in the nav, no persistent link on the profile page, nothing. I eventually had to ask an AI assistant, which gave me the direct URL:
forum.f-droid.org/my/messages
That worked, I found a full inbox sent folder the full deal…
If you’ll notice the Header you’ll see you are in the Profile section where Summary Activity, ect are except nothing is highlighted saying we are in that space….. A Secret 5th option!
If I’m dumb and just missing something please note the account age. I just got here folks lol. Call me an idiot and point me at the button I’m too blind to see, but I cannot find it.
Otherwise, if someone is sending harassing messages through the forum, recipients need to actually be able to find and report them.
Steps to reproduce:
- Log in to the forum
- Try to find your messages inbox by navigating the UI alone
- There is no visible link to it from the nav bar, the profile page tabs, or anywhere else
