I can't install Mulch WebView

Hello everyone.

Please tell me how to install Mulch WebView correctly?

My steps:

  1. I have Magisk installed

  2. I installed MulchSystemWebViewOverlayMagisk.zip I see in Magisk in the modules section everything is installed.

  3. Downloaded Mulch WebView for arm64 prebuilt/arm64/webview.apk · m119 · DivestOS Mobile / Mulch · GitLab

  4. Transferred to the phone and installed as a regular apk file.

I don’t see any changes in the WebView implementation section? Usually after such an installation that I described I should see a new Webview.

Personally I installed via GitHub - Magisk-Modules-Alt-Repo/open_webview: A magisk module created to replace system webview then you don’t need to update this module.
Once the webview is installed, always use DivestOS repo to update the webview from your F-Droid client.

Thanks for your reply. I know there is Open_webview , but I would like to install Mulch WebView using Magisk module and Mulch WebView.apk and as an alternative method add DivestOS repository.

I also noticed that there are two repositories with Mulch WebView, I still don’t understand what the difference is…

m119 is for Android 7, master is for Android 8 and newer.

that link also needs the DivestOS repo added/enabled: Our Apps - DivestOS Mobile

Hi. Thank you very much for your answer. Please tell me how to install Mulch WebView for arm64 I tried the method described on github it does not work.

Maybe I’ll try installing Mulch WebView for arm64 here prebuilt · master · DivestOS Mobile / Mulch · GitLab and it’ll work…

I confirm that everything works! I installed the correct version of Mulch WebView for
Android 8 and newer which I downloaded here prebuilt · master · DivestOS Mobile / Mulch · GitLab and everything worked!
