How to list contents of a 3rd party repo in the browser?

I am using apps from 3rd party repos. I would like to know if there is a possibility to get icons of them, if they are only shipped in these repos, like it is the case with DivestOS.

And can I list the included files in a repo in the browser? Thanks!

do the have icons in Fastlane or Triple-T files? F-Droid Server can’t extract icons from newer APKs, eg. All About Descriptions, Graphics, and Screenshots | F-Droid - Free and Open Source Android App Repository

Also, you have mobile data slider all the way to the right in Settings, yes?

And can I list the included files in a repo in the browser? Thanks!

it’s just a hosted folder you can do whatever you want with it, under your control

The problem is I dont know how to display that folder

https://divestos.org/apks/official/fdroid/repo/us.spotco.mulch/

this didnt work for me

that’s up to the repo owner to setup, ask them

eg. Divest has download links here: Our Apps - DivestOS Mobile

thx, I thought there was some kind of universal way F-Droid parses that repo and metadata would be kinda transparent

it is transparent, as it’s just a folder, but repo owners decide how to setup

this is less useful for a user, use F-Droid Client or some other one to get updates and info on new apps, a site is… static… and users always forgot to update.

I am trying to add DivestOS apps to the Obtainium app selection. People like to use this for more direct updates, even though Obtainium is a pretty dirty workaround.

So I tried to add the real icons, from a web source

the DivestOS repo IS THE DIRECT update, what do you mean?

when not using the F-Droid client (for the only reason to use a single app to get updates), it is quite complex to add the app to Obtainium. But it works. Knowing where the icon is, so it can be nicely displayed in apps.obtainium.imranr.dev is useful

I have the same problem. If Izzy’s homepage lists the repo you can list the content there: F-Droid Archive Repository

Please just use the official F-Droid client, others lack proper mirror support or delta index updates and put unnecessary load on the servers.

Yes this is very true. Thanks for the heads up!
