How to install Divest OS on a Pixel 4a

I can’t figure out how to install. Tried flashing boot.IMG…didn’t work.

Anyone have instructions?

Do you have problems to install the custom recovery or the rom? The file to be flashed from the custom recovery is a .zip file and not boot.img however at the download page (Devices - DivestOS Mobile - Devices - DivestOS Mobile) you can also find a link with the installation guide. What is your exact model: Google Pixel 4a 5G bramble (Devices - DivestOS Mobile) or Google Pixel 4a sunfish (Devices - DivestOS Mobile)?

Thanks for the info. I tried to flash the “.IMG” file from the website, and it wouldn’t go to recovery.

I’m flashing Pixel 4a sunfish

FYI, DivestOS developer has recommended GrapheneOS for newer devices like pixel 4(a) DivestOS: long term device support with enhanced privacy and security - #54 by SkewedZeppelin but be sure to send your testing logs if you insist on trying DivestOS on untested devices. :laughing:

Flashing process is:

fastboot erase avb_custom_key
fastboot flash avb_custom_key avb_pkmd.bin
fastboot --slot=all update divested-18.1-20210814-dos-sunfish-fastboot.zip

But it is untested, and unlikely to work sadly.
