Have a look here, but please be careful what you’re doing.
Flash GSI, link in Treble info app.
So I really wanna root it I had gsi ROMs before not a fan of them I need root. Problem is how do I get my .imgs ? I already messed up for stock firm ware up
Nah I really need root for what I wanna do with my phone gsi’s don’t help me …
If you can’t download the firmware from the manufacturer, it may be difficult to find a trustworthy source.
In doubt you’ll have to do some research on your own.
I have a motorola e15, could someone please help me in rooting
I know lelenloa or how ever u say that
So how do I know what image I need to flash ?
First of all Treble info tells you, second: ask community of successful flashes to save your time. It was the same in my case when I’ve flashed elder Lenovo tablet.
Which file you have to flash is in the instructions from my first post to this topic.
Depending on the format of the firmware you must still unzip or convert the files before flashing.
So I should flash boot.img and flash it to both a/b partitions
It’s enough to flash the active partition.
The difficult thing is, to keep the device rooted after an upgrade of the operating system. There are ways to modify the upgraded boot partition before restarting the device. Depending on the device or ROM, this can be tedious.
Maybe you find some information here:
I was having the same problems you were for a long time then I found kernelsu, if you have your bootloader unlocked it’s as simple as installing kernelSu on your phone, and getting the image that you need from your stock firmware which can be done on your computer by installing Moto recovery it’ll download your firmware for your phone, and then you can go into the file manager and get the file you need from it after unzipping it to a folder of your choosing, I followed a really good guide on YouTube about using kernel to install root. Find it here : https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=MDMRVIZf_Ls :
I hope this helps relieve you of all of the frustration I went through trying to get rooted in 2025🫡
PS. I flashed my image to the a&b partitions and now I don’t have to worry about updates because it doesn’t let me qualify for it, now if only lineage could come up with the ROM for this particular model sometime soon.
Well that’s the issue is that I don’t have a computer
If your going to want to do anything with rooting, a PC, even the most potato PC is a must, I’ve seen others use phone to phone command line apps that claim to do the same thing, and I tried that but didn’t have the patience to figure it out, even if it’s the local library PC, as long as you can plug a phone into it and get storage access your good to go, I am sorry about your struggle, I hate to think about not having control of my phone, just know that there is a way, I did it and you can too.
I know how to do it phone to phone it’s just I don’t have my stock firmware … Because I don’t have a PC I know there’s a site where I can get it ..
Any luck? Please let me know
