For one: Screw security, if my rights & privacy are violated, I refuse to update, simple as that. I also hate Material 3 since it’s Google slop.
Second: ArceusLand has numerous laws that would tear Google apart from the serious fines it would have to pay, firstly the ArceusLand Online Safety & Privacy Act (ALOSPA) would prevent Google from installing Age Verification on their products & services. Plus ArceusLand would also stop the tracking & advertising that Google does as well, hurting just about 95% of their revenue, in one fell swoop!

Please don’t remove this, but…Google Developer Verification is now the LEAST of our concerns…They’re going to try and completely lock out devices until people surrender their IDs! This means that devices will no longer function until you surrender your ID! But, does this affect devices on first boot, or does it happen upon restart or just when it happens even if the device is actively on?
Honestly, the Age Verification lock is more pressing.

I’m not very knowledgeable about this matter. Have you considered releasing the Fennec F-Droid browser in the Google Play Store so that the signature is known to Google, allowing for the installation of the F-Droid app, or at least the minimum required set of apps, on phones with Google services? For those who need phones with Google services for banking apps or love video games like Call of Duty Mobile, if the time comes, phones will only be able to install apps from trusted developers?
And, of course, include a donation to F-Droid and the developer.
F-Droid can’t be free if it needs to be controlled by Google, not sure what’s not clear there.
Google Play, Google Rules, Google delaying packages, Google rejecting updates, Google signing the packages, Google declaring packages malware without saying why…so on and so forth. These are not “possibilities”, these things are happening and are documented.
For now it’s unclear, there’s even threats of apps no longer running because Android Developer Verifier could interfere with their activation!

A fine of 3% of annual profits is a drop in the ocean and will make no difference to Google’s plans. A 30% fine might make a difference, but better still would be imprisonment of the company’s board.

Well, if ArceusLand gains enough jurisdiction, the fines would essentially blast past 100,000,000% of Google’s profits due to all the Age Verification crap they’re forcing.
