Google will require developer verification to install Android apps, including sideloading

Google Search is going full AI, so they’re really not for the people anymore.

At their core, Google is an advertising, not a tech company. Though dated, this doc by the Dutch VPRO is relevant: Google Behind the Screen - Wikipedia

Google were NEVER ‘for the people’, just business.

True, but the way they’re ruining Android is downright cynical, as there’s plenty of safer alternatives in the FOSS world, and some app stores which are in between, like Aptoide, Aurora Store, Happymod (Though, be careful about that one, as malicious versions did exist at one point), I even found ZapStore, which is essentially another FOSS apps store, but the apps there isn’t entirely FOSS, it’s good for different purposes than NeoStore, so it’s good in conjunction. Plus, don’t forget Shizuku, that essentially breaks Google’s Developer Verification entirely, because it circumvents the installation system using ADB, and Google cannot detect installs that use that particular methodology. Though if Google blocks the running of Android applications that aren’t verified…We’re essentially fucked big time because Shizuku will no longer function, forcing us to surrender our IDs as users to use Google Play Store…What a nightmare situation we’re in…
