Google requires FairEmail to undergo an annual CASA security audit?

Google requires FairEmail to undergo an annual CASA security audit, which must be conducted by an authorized assessor (this year TAC Security). Besides being time-consuming, this is no longer free as of this year. This is one of the reasons why the app cannot be completely free.

After FairEmail gets Paid App, then have the other option is Thunderbird for Android and K-9 Mail.

Why do you care what Google wants? Do you publish it on Play Store as well as F-Droid?

The app is in Play too, yes

The question is what happens next, albeit, afaik, in Play you can’t just make it “paid” if it was free or something like this.

So not sure it can switch to be like Conversations, paid in Play and free in F-Droid.

This might not matter for the F-Droid version. It already has some differences as compared to the Play Store and Github versions.

And the app is free with some other paid features.
