Fossify Phone no contacts

Why not use OpenContacts instead of so many different apps? OpenContacts is better imp&ho.

Because I would like to help getting Fossify apps operable. I still have the Simple phone app to make calls, which in practice is rare as I prefer to use a land line.

Import in phone fossify is not yet there as the contacts fdroid app is not yet built.
Until then you can use the inbuilt or any other app to have phone contacts imported to device, or use the previous simplecontacts or izzy fossify contacts with isolated contacts.

If rooted, find out the path via simplecontacts or izzy fossify contacts and follow the same logic for fossify phone. It may be tedious, but can be a workaround.

In few days you will get fossify contacts in F-Droid Repo.

Phone and Contacts are here, but I have the same issue. No contacts in both.
Seems like I`m stuck with GrapeneOS preinstalled apps, but they suck…

does it have some sort of “scoped contacts” extra toggle or permission?

No, contacts are synced with davx5.
Works with the old simple apps just fine.
Seems like a common problem on GrapheneOS…

Summary

Fossify Phone no contacts - #5 by naveen

The new Fossify Contacts app has solved this problem by allowing contacts vcf file to be imported, which can then be read by Fossify Phone.

Doesn’t that just duplicate all of my contacts?
And davx5 then syncs them and I have a big mess in my backup?
