This scan is done from virustotal.
Here is the link
First, it’s not you who found it, but Virus Total.
Second, this just tells you how dumb/fake those anti-virus apps are: Suspicious permissions to send/receive SMS/MMS in an SMS app? Lol. Suspicious Paypal address for donations to developers? Another Lol.
@optimumpro
What about the same app and its same version available on aurura or play store.
When you scan it you will not found same result. What do you wanna say about this?
And sorry for that I used words “l found malware”, yeah that was virustotal that found.
Ah, interesting find, now, do ask K7GW to show in the source code (as lucky for us the app is FOSS) the exact place the malware in present.
That should be easy, right? Here: GitHub - FossifyOrg/Messages: An easy and quick way of managing SMS and MMS messages without ads.
Also, bonus question, since the app is build reproducible and signed by the developer, it means that their APK is infected, yes? Eg. Test it: Release 1.1.7 · FossifyOrg/Messages · GitHub
They treat different fdroid apps and aurura apps. Thanks for your information and giving your valuble time.
Aurora apps are signed with same signatures as Play store apps. Aurora apps ARE from Play store. They are identical.
Edit: Have you even looked at the link you provided and clicked on details? What they literally found were ‘suspicious’ permissions I mentioned in my first response, like sending/receiving SMS/MMS and ‘suspicious’ Paypal (for donations).
What’s suspicious about SMS app having SMS permissions?!
Haa:sweat_smile: main difference in same app and its same version i got it.
There was no anytype of trojan on fossify messages.
Problem was in trash K7GW (anti virus) just a bullshit.
Look at there difference:joy:
