No. Just read carefully what Forkgram tells you about notifications.
I really don’t like the Fork icon.
On my Always-On Display, it looks quite similar to other icons unless I take a closer look.
In this case, I prefer Nekogram much more than Forkgram.

You are free… you can use every fork you want.
I use a fork of ForkGram, which has few more features.
Updates of external libraries, for openssl it use the latest version while in forkgram openssl stuck to 3 years ago, also in original telegram is updated.
Also nekogram is not too bad.

Could you consider using a different notification icon for your fork?
I mean, you can’t use another icon with Nekogram either, but the one it has looks more unique than the one from Forkgram.
Nekogram is really good, but since it’s not available on F-Droid, I find it hard to trust it completely.

Come on, is the icon really such a problem you can’t sleep with???
It may sounds weird, but yes it is.
I use always-on for not taking the Phone in my hand every time I get a new notification.
The Forkgram notification icon looks similar to the ones from other apps which notification are not as important as Telegram messages.
That’s why it’s not that useful for me.
And on the other hand the fork is also quiet ugly although it’s funny
