File Manager app

Team, first thank you to such a community. Started using it since few days. Trying to figure out fdroid alternative for each of the google play app I have. One such was file explorer/manager.

I installed File manager (Version 3.0.1 (41) - Added on 2017-12-15)
It does not identify *.apk files though. have a *.apk file in a folder, but it does not show it at all.

Any clues? thank you again. Anil

Got this sorted out. I had cleared cache in between connecting device to laptop.
So, after reboot, all okay. Can see it now. Regards,

Android Nougat has a built-in file manager. Only basic functionality, but for me this is an advantage.
